Betting and Game Rules
Picked for you

Rules that apply to all play
These rules apply to every bet, spin and hand placed through your account with us. They sit alongside our terms and conditions and the rules built into each game; where a game's own rules cover a point in more detail, those rules apply to that game.
We hold a gaming licence and verify the age, identity and payment details of account holders. Play is for adults aged 18 or over only.
- One account per person. You may hold one account, in your own name, used only by you.
- You play for yourself. You may not place bets for anyone else, or take instructions from them about how to play.
- Real-money and bonus funds are separate. The cashier shows which part of your balance is which, and the game screen shows which funds a round is drawing on.
- Bets are final once placed. A round is confirmed the moment the game server accepts it, and cannot be cancelled or changed afterwards.
- Stakes and payouts have limits. Minimum and maximum stakes vary by game and are shown in the game; payout limits are set out in our terms.
How bets and spins are settled
Every outcome is produced on our game servers, not on your device. The result recorded by the server is the result that counts, and it decides whether a round wins, loses or returns the stake.
If your screen shows something different, because of a cached page, a stale animation or a connection problem, the server record stands and your balance is adjusted to match it.
In-game rules and paytables
Each game carries its own rules: how lines pay, how features trigger, how ties and pushes are treated, and what happens to an unfinished feature. Where a game's paytable and a general statement on this page appear to differ, the paytable for that game applies.
Return to player
The return-to-player figure is the long-term theoretical percentage of stakes a game is expected to return over a very large number of rounds, and it is shown in each game's info screen. It does not describe a session or a short run of rounds, and it is not a promise about any individual result.
| What you are looking for | Where it is shown |
|---|---|
| Stake range and bet options | The bet panel inside the game |
| Paytable, lines and features | The game's info or help screen |
| Return-to-player figure | The game's info or help screen |
| Your settled rounds | Game history in your account |
Malfunctions, disconnections and unfinished rounds
A malfunction is any fault that means a game, the server or the link between them did not work as designed. A malfunction voids all pays and play for the affected round or rounds. Stakes are returned to the balance they came from, and any amount credited in error is removed.
If you are disconnected mid-round
- If you lose your connection during a spin or hand, the round is still settled on the server and the result is applied to your balance.
- Where a game needs a decision from you, it is normally held open and resumes at the same point when you next open it.
- Open rounds are usually the first thing a game shows you when it reloads; if a game will not load, close it fully before staking again.
- Some games settle an unfinished round automatically after the period stated in that game's rules, rather than holding it open.
Play funded by bonus money
Bonus funds, free spins and other promotional credit are offered on the terms published with each offer. Those terms sit alongside this page and, for that offer, they take priority.
- Wagering. Bonus funds carry a playthrough requirement, shown with the offer and tracked in your account.
- Maximum bet. A maximum stake per round applies while a bonus is active; staking above it can cost you the wins from the affected rounds and the bonus itself.
- Game contributions. Games count towards wagering at different rates and some are excluded; the rates are published with the offer.
- Expiry. Bonus funds and free spins run out after the stated period, and anything unused, with the wagering progress attached to it, is removed.
- Restricted features. Some games, feature buys and side bets are unavailable while a bonus is active, as listed in the offer terms.
Using bonus funds in a way designed to secure a return whatever the outcome, including low-risk or opposite-side betting on the same round, is irregular play under our terms, and we may void the affected rounds.
Live casino and table games
Live tables are dealt by a studio dealer and streamed to your device. Each table has its own rules and limits in its help screen, and those apply at that table.
Dealer decisions and the table result
The physical outcome at the table decides the round: the card dealt, the pocket the ball settles in, the dice shown. Where the stream and the record kept by the table system differ, the table system's record stands. Calls such as misdeals, exposed cards, no-spins and void rounds follow the table's own rules, and the decision taken under them is final.
Late bets, limits and the chat
- Betting time is shown by the timer. A stake that is not confirmed before betting closes is not accepted and stays in your balance.
- Each table has its own minimum and maximum stakes, including separate limits for side bets, shown before you take a seat.
- Seats may be released after the period of inactivity set by the table, so that other players can use them.
- Table chat is moderated; abusive messages, or attempts to share account details, can lead to chat or the account being restricted.
Queries about how a round was settled
If you think a round has been settled incorrectly, tell us and we will look into it. Game history in your account is the first place to check: it shows the stake, the time and the outcome recorded for each round.
Write to support@casinogentlemanjim.co.uk or use the live chat on the site, and include:
- Your username or the e-mail address on your account.
- The game and, for live play, the table name.
- The date and time of the round, with the time zone you are quoting.
- The round reference, where the game shows one.
- The stake, what you expected and what the game showed.
We go through the server records for that round and come back to you with what they show. Where a settlement was wrong, we correct your balance; where the records confirm it, we explain how the result was reached. If our answer does not settle the matter, our complaints procedure sets out the next step, including the external dispute service open to you.
